We all reach a time in our lives where we seek out the fresh and new for inspiration. At the same time, I know the tried and true will always be cherished. Both things are true for me. After nearly 10 years at Sally Hershberger, I’m beyond excited and proud share I have officially joined the team at Staring by Ted Gibson. With that, I invite you to join me on this new chapter in my career.

Starring is a brand new salon concept by Ted Gibson. He and partner Jason Backe are known for their prior salons in New York, Washington DC and the W Fort Lauderdale. Ted has reached worldwide acclaim from his A list celebrity clientele, for being a go-to for shows like Good Morning America, the Today Show and Rachael Ray as well as for leading shows backstage for the top designers at NYC Fashion Week.

Ted and Jason moved to Los Angeles to create something different, not just another salon. They have built a chic, modern space that is the world’s first smart salon powered by Amazon’s Alexa. The salon offers a boutique experience with five semi-private salon chairs, incredible beauty lighting and a wonderful guest experience.

Starring by Ted Gibson is located at 211 ½ South La Brea Avenue, between 2nd and 3rd Streets. As this part of La Brea has been described as the hottest corridor in Los Angeles, #DistrictLaBrea is the perfect location for the new salon concept.

You will find a conveniently located, covered parking ramp at La Brea and 2nd Street. In addition there is plenty of metered street parking on both sides of La Brea or you can also find neighborhood parking on the residential streets behind the salon. As always please be mindful of the city’s signage and time allotments for street parking.

Through April my salon schedule will be as follows:

·       Tuesday 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

·       Wednesday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

·       Thursday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

·       Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

·       Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
